Author and preacher Rob Bell writes:

“Jesus doesn’t divide the world up into the common and the sacred; he gives us eyes to see the sacred in the common.”

That speaks to me on many levels as I think of so many Biblical stories where God was found in the common.  And I think, how we react to that speaks as to how – maybe even if – our spiritual experiences are experienced.

Sometimes, not always but sometimes, we limit “The Holy” to words found in Scripture and somehow we missed it that if God would not be confined to a temple, or a synagogue, or a church…we can’t confine God to a book either…even a Holy book.  The people that finally understood that in Jesus’ day found…Life.  The same seems to be true today.
