We expect certain things of people, and when those people fail to meet those expectations…we’re skeptical…or we discount them altogether, we don’t take them seriously, or we otherwise complain because they didn’t meet our expectations…and most importantly, when people don’t meet our expectations they become insignificant to us…and the same thing happens when we expect things of God and God doesn’t meet our expectations.

When God doesn’t meet our expectations God often becomes insignificant to us.

A well rounded knowledge of God – viewed from the perspective of Jesus – gives us expectations that will not disappoint.  Expectations based on clichés and narrow minds will disappoint.

With God, expected the unexpected.

Peace and healthy expectations
