This week seems like it has lasted forever. Days have been long, and nights have produced little sleep with worrisome mind and troubled spirit. And I think, is this just the effects of Holy Week where thoughts of the depth of God’s love for us has taken it’s toll on my feelings? Maybe. A lot of my thoughts have been occupied thinking how:
“God chose to give himself into the hands of people like us who would not allow such radical love to penetrate their dogmas and their way of life.”
God chose sacrifice and humility to express his deepest love. (Just as Jesus told the Apostle Paul, “My power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Cor. 12:9) And God gave us the gift of Life as proof of his intentions.
Easter is about joy, peace, love, new Life and a lot of other resurrection words, but unless there are some thoughts of God’s radical love shown through Jesus, we chance missing Easter…and if we miss Easter we will most likely miss Jesus among us.
