“Always give more than you take.”

I see that playing out in various ways in life…

We’ve heard it said, “Meet me half way.” What would happen if we went farther than halfway to make it easier for another?

We’ve heard it said, “There, I’ve done my part.” But what if the job isn’t finished yet? What would happen if we did more than our part?

What if we are to give out of our plenty…and our plenty was time, talents, gifts, what if our plenty is the ability to do more…Sometimes we don’t think we have more…but we forget that compassion, goodness, gentleness and love is a bottomless pit, or at least it should be.

Giving more than we take is a simple way to show love to other people.  A simple task if our focus in turned away from ourselves, and out toward others.

Peace for the New Year!
