When peace like a river attends the way, or when sorrows like sea billows roll…whatever…God has taught us to say, it is well with my soul.

That sounds so good, but it’s not as easy as it sounds.  For our soul to be well requires that we filter everything that comes to us through a view of Philippians 4:8:

“…whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Do that…and have peace of soul…
