I was mowing today and I saw what I thought was a stick sticking up in the yard…turns out to be a garter snake poking it’s head out of a drain tile in the back yard.  It was sticking up about 6 or 8 inches above the grass…it chickened out a bit when I got close with the mower.

I do not like snakes.  A friend told me about 40 years ago that all snakes are rattle-headed-copper-moccasins.  I believe her…at least that’s my reaction when I get surprised by one.

On another note, I saw these clouds yesterday morning.
