My mind is still moving toward the direction of peace. It just seems that once we understand that we’ve been trusting in our own thinking – giving God lip service – and we are somehow put back into the reality that on our own we don’t have the ability to find peace…it lingers in the mind affecting all that we think, do, and say.
There are two reactions to that.
One is joy. We’re joyed with the idea that we finally broke through the darkness and into the light.
The other reaction is a humble state. We are humbled that it took so long to see what was right before us all along…if we’re not humbled I’m not sure we properly understand where our help comes from.
Think about life today. What is it that we’re trying to do and it just doesn’t seem to be working? What is it that we won’t let go, take our hands off, and ask Jesus to control, work out or resolve?
Like I said last week, what is it that has stolen our peace? Search that out, find that source of darkness, and then ask…and listen.
